2-1-1 Tampa BayProvides information on and referrals to local health and human service agencies, programs, and services in Pinellas, Citrus, and Hernando Counties in Florida. Also, provide telephone crisis and suicide intervention as well as volunteer and donation information. 2-1-1 Tampa Bay provides services over the phone 24 hours a day as well as through our website, downloadable guides, and on-line database.
Pinellas Community Voice Mail (CVM)Provides free voice mail to homeless and low-income individuals actively looking for employment, housing, safety from domestic violence, a connection with other human service providers, and/ or family and friends. Clients get a free 10 digit phone number to put on applications for jobs and housing. The number is linked to a voice mail box where they can receive and retrieve messages 24 hours a day. Pinellas Community Voice Mail (CVM) is a local affiliate of Community Voice Mail National (www.cvm.org) and a member of the CVM Federation.
Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN)Web based database for health and human service providers enter, manage, and share client information in a secure environment. This network of partners provides vital community planning information on how services are being used. TBIN staff provide all training and technical support to TBIN Network Partners for free. This Congressionally mandated project is required in each community by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Monetary Donations2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc. is always welcomes unsolicited monetary donations to aid us in continuing to support our operations, internal volunteer program, and care of our staff. All types of donations are excepted.
iPhones for Homeless Outreach WorkersTBIN works with local non-profit organizations to collect an array of client level data on the homeless daily. TBIN is in need of 10 iPhones for Homeless Street Outreach Teams to access information about clients while on the street or under a bridge. ($1,990). The Homeless Street Outreach teams are run by Operation PAR and Directions for Mental Health. Please contact us if you can help or would like more information.
Scan Guns for Homeless Soup Kitchens and Drop In CentersTBIN works with local non-profit organizations to collect an array of client level data on the homeless. TBIN is in need of 100 scan guns for rapid data collection by TBIN Network Providers. These scan guns will help homeless soup kitchens, drop in centers, and local shelters rapidly check in their clients daily with the use of bar coded ID cards. Laptops to Train Non-Profit Staff on TechnologyTBIN works with local non-profit organizations to collect an array of client level data. TBIN is in need of 10 Laptops for training TBIN Network Partners. These laptops are used monthly to train local non-profit organizations on how to use the TBIN system to enter client data and track their program successes. The laptops should either be new or less than 3 years old. Please contact us if you can help or would like more information.
2-1-1 Call Center Needs Computers2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc. is in need of new window laptops in our 2-1-1 Call Center to replace our remaining six 6 year old desktop computers. Laptops with docking stations are needed in order to more effectively respond and for staff to be able to remotely work in times of a disaster.
