HIV Testing Counselor - Transgender Youth Conducts HIV Pre and Post Test Counseling.
Conducts a pre-test risk assessment with clients to obtain risk history and demographic information for reporting purposes.
Administers oral test designed to detect HIV anti-bodies following standardized directions;
Times test with stopwatch or timer.
Conducts disclosure and post-disclosure counseling as needed and required.
Familiarity in working with the Transgender population.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Current San Francisco County or California State HIV Pre and Post Test Counselor Certification including: Basic I, Basic II, and Rapid Test Certifications.
Current Phlebotomy Certification.
Valid California driver’s license with proof of liability insurance.

Program Manager - Transgender Youth- Manages all aspects of an HIV Counseling Testing and Referral program, including budget management, creating regular reports, scheduling testing services and supervision of two full time staff.
- Serves as AHF’s lead liaison and coordinator for the CDC-Sponsored Program for Transgender Youth joint project in San Francisco.
- Creates and is responsible for all financial and contractual documentation for the CDC-Sponsored Program for Transgender Youth.
- Attends coordinating meeting with the CDC on a regular basis. Also attends other local community meetings as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises two full time staff.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS:
- Current California State HIV Pre and Post Test - Counselor Certification including: Basic I, Basic II, and Rapid Test Certifications.
