L.A. County + USC Chaplain Yolanda Vega phoned to request rental assistance for a woman who is hospitalized with pancreatic cancer. The woman is the sole provider for her fifteen and sixteen year-old daughters. She has learned that her cancer has metastasized and she is now receiving palliative care. While she receives $584 in monthly government assistance, her rent is $860. With her husband living in Mexico, arrangements must soon be made for the girls’ future. AIN is trying to help them keep their apartment until the necessary critical decisions are made.
