Community-Based ProgramCommunity-based mentoring is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where volunteers and kids ("Bigs" and "Littles") get together on their own to share fun activities they both enjoy. We also recognize that children may benefit from focused encouragement to reach their full potential. Therefore, we also have special initiatives developed to target these groups.
School- and Site-Based MentoringSchool- and site-based mentoring allows volunteers and kids ("Bigs" and "Littles") to meet one-on-one in the classroom, school library or another location. Bigs and Littles typically read together, play sports or simply talk about life.
