Rediscover the Kid In You! (Community Based Matches)Wednesday, April 30, 2008 - Thursday, December 31, 2009If you like to have fun-and really, who doesn’t?-then being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things you’ll ever do. As a Big, you get to be a kid again for a couple of hours every month. All you have to do is be a friend to one of our fun-loving kids. Being a Big is simple, too. You and your "Little" can do things that you already enjoy doing, like: * playing sports * cooking * playing video games * hanging out, eating and talking * going to the movies and throwing popcorn at the screen (okay, maybe not that second part). Our core program. Bigs and Littles meet at places and times convenient to both. We'll match you with a "Little" in your area whose hobbies, interests and personality are a good fit with yours. It’s easy, fun, and simple. To learn more contact 617-956-0281 or visit: www.bbbsmb.org
2008 Fishing and Golf Tournament a BIG SuccessOur 5th Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Fishing Tournament and 1st Annual Golf Tournament on the Cape were a BIG success! On September 20th more than 10 boats filled with sponsors and anglers and 50 Bigs and their Little Brothers and Little Sisters experienced an incredible day of fishing. The prior day, 160 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf at the renowned Wianno Club. Our first golf tournament exceeded our expectations and sold out! And last, but not least, more than $320,000 was raised for BBBS programs! â??Thanks for the amazing time I had. My Big Brother and I wanted to go fishing before. This is like a dream come true for both of us! We hope we can do this again next year. God bless you. I now have something to tell my friends. Thank you.â?? -Little Brother Carlos For information about next yearâ??s tournament, please contact Tricia Keck at 617-956-0237 or tkeck@bbbsmb.org.
