Successful Waiting with the KidsWe have all been there. The hour long stint in the doctors waiting room, the slow service at the restaurant, the unexpected traffic jam. What? No Game Boy? Susan Finn, CME Educator and owner of Buttonwood Ark, a local childrens entertainment provider, will share her simple tips and tools for keeping kids (and their adults) occupied during those times when it is particularly hard to sit still and keep quiet. Celebrate MLK Day A Monday, January 19, 2009 Day On, Not A Day Off Join us Monday, January 19th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and celebrate YOU!! We will do activities that showcase each individuals uniqueness and how when we come together, the whole is even more AMAZING. We will have a multitude of activities like creating a handmade piece and adding everyone is together to create a new art mosaic for The Wild Place and bringing in small mementos from family trips to add to a Museum display that we will create. This and much more will be taking place at the event. Also during this event you can do some good for those who may be less fortunate, bring in new or slightly used mittens to donate to a child and know that you are helping those who truly need it. This event is free with admission cost for the Museum.
