Everything You Needed When You First Left HomeThe Independent Living Program at Communities For People serves youth between the ages of 16 and 20. These youth work and/or go to school while learning the basic practical skills they'll need to care for themselves when they are on their own. You can help them by donating items that they will need as they transition to full independence: housewares (pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc), clothing they can wear to interviews (gently worn or new), used cell phones (with their chargers), laptop computers that can support Windows XP, linens and comforters (new), warm winter hats, coats, scarves, mittens and gloves that are in good condition, and anything you can think of that was useful to you when you first left home. Thank you for your generosity and concern. Please direct any questions to Khoward@communities-for-people.org
