Founded in 1984, CCD is a private, non-profit organization providing high quality care and education for children age four months through third grade in a variety of settings.

Low-income working families are eligible for services at one of six locations. Four centers are in Long Beach, CA, one is in San Pedro, CA and one is in Wilmington, CA.

Funding for programs of CCD is provided by a variety of governmental funds, including the California Department of Education, Department of Housing and Urban Development as well as private sources - grants, and tax-deductible donations.
