DOW and its partners provide HIV counseling, testing, and prevention services via a mobile outreach unit to street and at-risk children and youth in St. Petersburg, and engage HIV-positive youth to facilitate access to health and other services. The project builds upon DOW’s extensive experiencing creating access to comprehensive medical and social services for street and at-risk children and youth, including drop-in centers and outreach programs, access to counseling, educational and vocational training, foster family programs, legal support, and health services.

%newline%The HIV Prevention and Treatment program works to prevent the spread of HIV among street and at-risk children and youth through improved education and outreach, and to curb high-risk activities through counseling and support services. The program also ensures that HIV-positive youth are linked to life-saving medical services, improving their chances to not only survive, but to live a healthy and productive life.
