Flanzer Hearing Outreach ProgramProviding hearing screenings to Pre-K children in Sarasota County prior to their entering Kindergarten. Goal of program is to identify hearing loss and assist with subsequent services to children can be ready to learn upon entering school. We partner with the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County to ensure all children in Pre-K programs are screened.
Hearing Aid Financial AssistanceA partnership with the SERTOMA Speech & Hearing Foundation to provide financial assistance for qualifying individuals who need hearing aids. SERTOMA assists with the funding and the Ear Research Foundation provides the services - testing, fitting, dispensing.
ECHCOS Childrens Clinic & Cochlear Implant programThe ECHCOS Children's Clinic provides sliding scale financial assistance (based on Sarasota County Health Dept. guidelines) for Sarasota County children needing ear care. Primarily for children receiving a refer score from the Flanzer Hearing Outreach screenings, but will also serve children referred from public school testing or any Sarasota County physician. The Cochlear Implant program provides sliding scale financial assistance (based on Sara Cnty Health Dept guidelines) for profoundly deaf children from Sarasota County diagnosed to need Cochlear Implant surgery to restore hearing.
Minimally Invasive Otologic Surgery Course & BAHA WorkshopFriday, January 23, 2009 - Saturday, January 24, 2009An annual 2-day physician training course to teach minimally invasive surgery techniques. Offered in January or February evey year to ENT's throughout the United States & abroad.
