There are thousands of children in the foster care system in Georgia, and not nearly enough homes to provide the temporary love and care they desperately need. Families First provides foster families the tools they need to be successful including: free training, support services, 24 hour accessibility to our licensed social workers, free yearly physicals for the child(ren) and five days of respite. In addition, when adoption becomes an option, Families First can support foster parents through the adoption process.
In addition, The Georgia Center for Resources and Support is a statewide project funded by the Georgia Department of Human Resources and operated by Families First and Bethany Christian Services. The mission of the Center is to establish a seamless, comprehensive support network of post placement services to strengthen adoptive and foster families throughout Georgia. To contact the center, call toll free: 1-866-A-PARENT or visit www.gacrs.org.
