Sponsors for Handel's Messiah: A Soulful CelebrationGalaxy Music Theatre is seeking sponsors to cover the costs of a muscial director/arranger/accompanist, an Equity guest artist contract and special collaborations with dance companies for its 2008 production of Handel's Messiah: A Soulful Celebration.
Based upon the 1992 recording featuring such artists as Quincy Jones, Patti Austin, Al Jarreau, Stevie Wonder and many others, this gospel/soul/R&B version of "Messiah" is fresh, new and exciting. Presented in concert, the "Hallelujah" alone is worth the price of the ticket!
This production lends well to Galaxy's mission of promoting diversity on stage and in the audience. With the hope of adding a children's choir and a dance company that uses persons with disabilities in its choreography, this year's production promises to be very exciting and innovative.
