Builders and PlantersWednesday, April 01, 2009 - Monday, June 01, 2009Come on site between April and June and help to assemble frames and fill them with soil and compost; there are other tasks that don’t require “heavy lifting”. Garden planters help GPGP gardeners sow seeds and transplant seedlings. Site locations vary from week to week and building and planting times are typically between 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. per site.

In addition to traditional board skills such as finance, fundraising, legal, communications and media, GPGP is looking for people with a social enterprise or agricultural background, or people with connections to our client population and/or organizations that serve them. Gas Gift CardsGPGP serves 22 towns and cities and staff and volunteers are required to drive to these locations to ensure that residents know about us and they receive the services they need once they are enrolled in our program. In order to keep our program expenses down, GPGP is seeking donations of gas cards to be used for traveling to our service areas and supporting our gardeners.
