Master Artist and Lotus Instructor Noopur Singha has begun teaching a weekly Manipuri (traditional Indian dance) class on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Lotus Music & Dance Studios.

The traditional Manipuri dance style embodies delicate, lyrical and graceful movements. The aim is to make rounded movements and avoid any jerks, sharp edges or straight lines. It is this which gives Manipuri dance its undulating and soft appearance. Facial expressions, as well as foot placements, are subtle. The main attributes of this dance style are devotion and grace.
