Youth Connections resource centerMonroe Harding's Youth Connection Center is a stand-alone resource center for youth who have aged-out of state custody. Youth Connections fills the gap in services for youth leaving foster care by offering a support system to transition into independence. At Youth Connections, older teens can receive assistance in six areas: Housing, Education, Employment, Financial Management, Well-Being and through a voucher system Thrift Store.

Hygiene Items and Household Items NeededThe thrift store at Monroe Harding’s Youth Connections provides young people starting out on their own with needed items they may not be able to afford. Most of us don’t think twice about picking up a bar of soap or taking a plate out of the cabinet. Unfortunately, many of the young people served through our Youth Connections program don’t have this luxury. At the Youth Connections Thrift Store former foster youth can use vouchers to purchase needed items. Currently, the store is low on much needed supplies such as hygiene items (deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, razors etc.) and household items (pots and pans, cooking utensils, flatware, everyday dishes, cleaning supplies, towels, washcloths and sheet sets). If you can donate any of these items please contact us or drop them off at Monroe Harding (1120 Glendale Lane) or Youth Connections (1330 Foster Ave) anytime between 9:00 a.m. -4:30 p.m. Please help us stock the store and provide these young people with things most of us take for granted.
