Board Retreat Advances Quality of Life in PACharitable non-profits, the unsung heroes that improve the quality of our lives, work diligently to secure the funds and resources needed to serve our communities. Administrative and fundraising tasks, with a limited staff, can be daunting, especially in tough economic times. Thankfully, no charitable non-profit has to manage things without support. The Board of Directors of Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) is committed to a mission that improves life for all Pennsylvanians. PANO exists to help charities succeed together where they cannot succeed separately. For its 800 members across the state, PANO monitors and advocates on public policy, provides access to discounted insurance and technology, and provides education events and publications. Perhaps most importantly, PANO impacts all Pennsylvanians by providing guidance on standards of excellence including ethics, accountability, governance, fundraising and more.
