Read it Together! promotes reading as a shared activity. Having reading material at home determines whether or not a child will be a successful reader. We give a book to a child and pair that with an easy-to-use, one-page reading guide for his parents.
This project gives books to families who do not have the resources to buy books and who are overwhelmed by the library. By giving kids books, we can help them learn to read and practice their skills with the people that matter the most: their parents. Our practical guide meets parents where they are, showing them that it is easy to build reading into family routines like grocery shopping.
