Cafe 458Café 458, our life-stabilization program assists homeless men and women struggling with addiction issues, mental health concerns, and severe physical disabilities to achieve personal goals leading to self-sufficiency.
The EDGE (Earning Dignity...Gaining Employment)The EDGE (Earning Dignity, Gaining Employment) provides comprehensive daytime support services to homeless men and women in our community who are seeking employment. The focus of The EDGE is unique -- we challenge homeless men and women to develop their own job search strategies and hold them accountable for taking advantage of every opportunity to change their current circumstances. The EDGE operates Mon through Fri from 7am - 4pm and Sat and Sun from 8am - 10am.
Clean Street TeamThe Samaritan House Clean Street Team is a transitional employment and training program that engages homeless men and women in litter pick-up, drain clearing, and other beautification projects that help keep Atlanta clean.
Arts for a CauseThursday, February 11, 2010Do a little something different for Valentine’s Day this year. Attend a fabulous mixer while supporting a great cause. Enjoy an evening of art, photography, food and beverages, silent auction and more. Live entertainment will be provided from Jennifer Freeman and Trio. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at www.samhouse.org. All proceeds benefit and will help fund vital services offered to Samaritan House of Atlanta and Atlanta Enterprise Center’s program participants, including meals, case management, employment readiness training, transitional employment opportunities and Community Voice Mail. Men's Business Attire NeededPlease Support and Give Now. The Samaritan House of Atlanta clothing closet which provides business attire to homeless men and women seeking employment is in dire need of replenishment. Men's dress pants, shirts, ties and shoes are in high demand. Please clean out your closets, start a clothing drive at your local churches, schools, and businesses to collect clothing in support of the men of Samaritan House as they continue on the mission to rebuild their lives. Donations are accepted M-F from 8am - 11am and 1pm - 3pm at The EDGE located at 302 Decatur Street, Atlanta, GA 30312. Silent Auction Items NeededSamaritan House of Atlanta, a non-profit that helps homeless men and women achieve self-sufficiency and life stabilization, is having its 1st Annual Online Auction beginning December 1, 2009. This is our first online auction and we hope to make this event one of the biggest fund-raisers of the year to enable us to continue in our efforts to make miracles happen in the lives of so many homeless men and women. We are seeking donations of items to be placed up for bid and hope that you will find it in your heart to support our worthy cause. Bidders like both practical and luxury items and services; most popular are unique items you cannot get elsewhere, such as lunch with a local celebrity, cooking classes, VIP passes to concerts or sporting events, gift cards, electronics, artwork, autographed items and vacation getaways. Cafe 458 Gets a MakeoverSamaritan House of Atlanta's Café 458 Gets a New Look Courtesy of TBS' "Movie and a Makeover" ATLANTA, April 21, 2008 – Café 458, which doubles as a restaurant for homeless men and women and a popular weekend brunch spot, has been selected to receive a complete cosmetic makeover thanks to TBS' "Movie and a Makeover." The transformation will take place during the week of April 21st – 25th, and will include new tables and chairs, built-in wall seating, window treatments, wall adornments, paint, ceiling tiles, lighting, tableware and much more. The show will air on TBS on May24th, along with the airing of the blockbuster hit "Titanic." Samaritan House/Café 458 will commemorate the makeover by hosting a grand reopening event on May 1, 2008. Doors will open at 6pm for the viewing and a light reception. Dinner will be served promptly at 6:30pm.
