A Purr-fect Gift ornament saleFor $1 donation each, you can give a Scruffy to the cats and kittens at St Francis. All proceeds will help them have a special holiday season. Scruffy ornaments are available at the shelter, thrift store, South Trail Animal Hospital and Jacaranda Veterinary Associates (with other locations to come). You can hang him on one of our trees at any of these locations or you can take him home to enjoy on your own tree.
Scruffy presents the 8th Annual Cats Meow GalaSaturday, January 24, 2009Our annual fundraiser is being held on Sat, January 24, 2009 at the American Legion in Venice FL from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $35 and include a buffet dinner, entertainment by DJ Jay, one free raffle ticket, and one free drink ticket. There will be live and silent auction items, a 50/50, a general raffle and other fun activities. We have gift certificates to local restaurants and salons, autographed sports memorabilia, tickets to area attractions like the Lowry Zoo among the auction items. Dress is casual! Come have some fun and help support the cats and kittens at St. Francis Animal Rescue. Tickets are available at the shelter and thrift store and all proceeds benefit our animals.

Adoption CounselorsMonday, January 05, 2009 - Thursday, December 31, 2009Learn to be an adoption counselor. The counselors help match potential adopters with one of our cats or kittens. Some paperwork involved. Easy computer program to learn. General love of cats a must! You will also be dealing with the public. If you are interested, we are willing to work around your availability. Our normal adoption days are Mon thru Thurs, 1pm to 5pm and Sat, 11am to 5pm. Adoptions are one of the most important facets of our organization as it is the means for our cats finding homes.
