United Friends of the Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of foster children and to supporting former foster youth in their journey to become successful, independent adults. Through its programs, advocacy efforts, and direct involvement with youth, UFC seeks to be a catalyst for change. At UFC, kids are our heart and soul. We guide foster children and youth on their life journey to become confident, successful, independent adults—helping prepare them for a future with intention. UFC’s programs offer emancipated foster youth comprehensive services that speak to their most urgent concerns—housing, employment and education—as well as their intangible needs, identity, trust, self-esteem, communication skills and emotional well-being.
