VINS to hold bird-a-thon May 10-17Quechee- Experienced and amateur birders alike are invited to participate in the Vermont Institute of Natural Science's 30th Annual Birdathon. The Birdathon, VINS' largest fundraising event will be happening from Satruday, May 10, through Saturday, May 17th. Participants may choose any of those days and find as many bird species as possible to marked on a species checklist. The birdathon can be done anywhere. Prizes will be drawn for those who walk to their birding sites, see the most bird species, raise the most funds, and a prize for junior birders. Each participant will recieve a 30th Annual Birdathon T-shirt. Brochures, sponsorship forms and species checklists are abailable on the VINS website at www.vinsweb.org, at the VINS Nature Center by calling 802-359-5001 or by emailing events@vinsweb.org
