Hospice & Palliative CareHospice and Palliative Care is a program that is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate and specialized care by an interdisciplinary health care team that supports and comforts terminally ill patients and loved ones in the home setting. Hospice Care serves individuals with a life expectancy of 6 months or less with the focus on caring, not curing. It involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain and symptom management and emotional and spiritual support. Palliative Care is provided to individuals who are seriously ill but are still receiving curative treatment. The goal is to improve quality of life and provide support during and after treatment.
