Tax Consultant VolunteersThursday, January 15, 2009 - Wednesday, April 15, 2009Annually during tax season several people volunteer as tax consultants. All of these volunteers are given a one-day training seminar by the IRS to certify the volunteers as VITA tax consultants. Paratransit DriverStarting salary begins at $11.92, increases to $12.52 after passing 90 day orientation period and completion of Class B license requirement. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be reliable. • Maintain a clean DMV record (insurable). • Have a valid California Drivers License. • Must be able to pass a Physical Abilities/Heavy Lifting Screening and a medical examination, as required by the Department of Transportation. • Must be able to lift (50 pounds) without assistance. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. • Must be 21 years of age • Must submit to fingerprinting • Must be a United States Citizen or an alien authorized to work in the United States. (As is Whistlestop’s Policy, documentation of eligibility to work in the United States will be required as a condition of employment).
