YouthBuild Boston is seeking a competent and caring teacher for our Project Advantage GED preparation program. Project Advantage serves at-risk inner-city youths, ages 16-18, offering academic education leading to a GED in conjunction with exposure to and training in the construction trades. The ideal candidate for this position has experiences in urban education, deep respect for the ideas and intelligence of young adults and the resolve, patience and persistence needed to assist, support, and motivate students who have experienced limited success in academics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field

A minimum of two years of experience teaching basic skills and GED preparation (or high school completion courses) to young adults
